Southern Lost City and Butterfly Falls
I got away from Cape Crawford between 10 and 11am and headed up the Savannah Way. It was pretty rough and it did not take long before I was glad that I had left the van behind and gone to the effort of doing the tenting. I reached the Southern Lost City. It was a four kilometre track off the main road. I grabbed some lunch and then did the walk around the Southern Lost City.
Half way around and beyond the Lost City there were lookouts across the valleys.
Then returning to the Lost City there were more amazing rock outcrops.
There was an information board that attempts to explain these formations that I will include for you.
I moved on. This was one of the many creek crossings.
I then moved onto Butterfly Falls. It was a short drive in and it was very beautiful.
I got a few panos, three in the afternoon showing different light, and one in the morning.
This is my camp there and I was very comfortable.
There are nothing like videos to give you a better idea of what the place is like.
